Overview

Since 1990, ASACLEAN™ has been used and trusted by plastics manufacturers in more than 75 countries. Kyodo brings it to moulders and extruders across India.

ASACLEAN™ is the worldwide leader in commercial purging compounds. Launched in 1990, it is used today by plastics manufacturers in over 75 countries to cut the time and material lost every time a machine changes over.

It was originally developed to make colour and material changes on moulding machines fast and complete. Continued research and development has widened its role: ASACLEAN™ is now also used to remove carbon and colour contamination, the black specks that turn a production run into scrap, decreasing defect rates and preventing them from returning.

The economics on an Indian production floor are straightforward. Every purge is machine time, and every purge consumes resin. A compound that clears the barrel and screw in fewer shots gives both back, and a barrel free of carbonised deposit is a barrel that is not quietly producing rejects.

Every purge is machine time and every purge is resin. A compound that clears the barrel in fewer shots gives both back.

Where it is used

  1. 01

    Colour changes

Clear the previous colour out of barrel and screw in fewer shots, so the next run starts on-spec instead of working its way there.

  2. 02

    Material changes

Move between resins without a long transition of mixed, unsellable output between the two grades.

  3. 03

    Carbon & black spot removal

Strip the carbonised deposit that produces black specks, decreasing defect and scrap rates on parts that have to look right.

  4. 04

    Preventive purging

Purge before shutdown and after start-up so degraded material never accumulates in the first place.
