2. What this site collects

This site collects personal information in only one place: the enquiry form on our contact page. Nothing is collected from you simply by reading the site.

Required, from the enquiry form

First name, last name, email address, and the content of your message.

Optional, from the enquiry form

Company name, area of interest, and subject.

Collected automatically

The language you are viewing the site in, and your IP address.

Your IP address is used only to limit how many messages can be sent from one connection in a short period, which is how we keep automated spam out of the form. It is held briefly in the server's memory for that purpose and is not written to any database or included in the email we receive.

3. Why we use it

We use the information from the enquiry form to respond to your enquiry and to carry on any business correspondence that follows from it. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have separately asked us to.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

4. Service providers, and transfer outside Japan

We do not have our own servers. This website is hosted, and enquiry emails are delivered, by two service providers acting on our instructions. Both are located in the United States, which means personal information you send through the form is transferred outside Japan.

Vercel Inc. (United States)

Hosts this website. Processes the technical request data needed to serve pages, including IP addresses.

Resend (United States)

Delivers the enquiry email from the form to our inbox. Handles the contents of your message in the course of transmitting it.

Neither provider is permitted to use your information for its own purposes. Once the enquiry reaches us, it is held in our own business email in Japan.

Information on the personal-data protection regime of the United States, and on the measures these providers take, is available on request using the contact details in section 8.

5. Cookies

This site sets one cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE. It records only whether you are reading the English or Japanese version, so the site can show you the same language next time.

It contains no personal information, is not used for advertising or analytics, and is not shared with anyone. This site uses no analytics, no advertising tags, and no third-party tracking scripts of any kind. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block this one the site still works and simply will not remember your language.

6. How long we keep it

An enquiry sent through this form becomes an email in our business inbox. It is not stored in a database on this website, and this website keeps no record of it after the message has been sent.

We retain that correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and any business relationship arising from it, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

7. Security measures

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the enquiry form is transmitted over that same encrypted connection. Access to the mailbox that receives enquiries is limited to the staff who need it. Because enquiries are not stored in a database on this site, there is no accumulated store of personal information here to be exposed.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to disclose what personal information we hold about you, to correct or add to it if it is inaccurate, to stop using it, or to delete it. You may also raise a complaint about how we have handled it.
