Who We Are
Kyodo International Corporation is a Japanese healthcare and pharmaceutical organization headquartered in central Tokyo. With decades of international sales, marketing, and business development experience, our team leads Kyodo's continuing growth in Japan and its expansion into other global healthcare markets.
Kyodo has built a strong track record with Japanese companies across the pharmaceutical business segments of intermediates, APIs, and drug dosage forms. Our core business is the contract manufacturing and supply of active ingredients and pharmaceutical dosage forms to innovator and generic manufacturers alike, with a particular focus on projects between Japanese and Indian pharmaceutical companies.
Kyodo was the first company to arrange a contract manufacturing partnership between a Japanese innovator and an Indian company for a new chemical entity, at a time when Indian pharmaceutical capabilities had little recognition within the Japanese industry. We went on to secure one of the first dosage-form technology transfers from a Japanese generic company to India, leading to a joint dosage-form business that continues to this day.
Established on October 15, 1980, Kyodo has grown into a multinational organization with offices, operations, and partners across Japan and India. Our Indian subsidiary, Kyodo International Pvt. Ltd., was established in New Delhi in 1996, with representative offices in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support of our business.
When my father was posted to Japan as a diplomat, I came to Japan with him. I went on to study at Waseda University's Faculty of Science and Engineering, including its doctoral program, and came to master Japanese customs and language along the way.
For more than 50 years since entering the working world, I have contributed to the economic development of both countries under the belief of being a “bridge between India and Japan”, drawing on experience and relationships built through Japan-India trade, beginning with export business.
Our company is headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo. In India, our subsidiary Kyodo International Pvt. Ltd. is headquartered in Delhi, with representative offices across the country supporting Japanese companies' expansion into India.
We maintain a network of contacts across Indian politics and business, and have built the systems, experience, and know-how to support Japanese companies entering the Indian market.
On the business side, we have achieved strong results exporting plastics-related equipment to India, with a track record of roughly 1,000 industrial machines exported over the years. Building on this, we began supporting a major Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer's marketing in Japan and have since focused on expanding the pharmaceutical business between the two countries. Today we work with leading Indian innovator and generic manufacturers alike. India's importance as a global supply base for pharmaceutical raw materials and products continues to grow. In pharmaceuticals, we have built a track record and know-how spanning joint ventures, technical alliances, licensing, co-marketing, contract manufacturing, and contract drug development.
Since October 2013, we have strengthened our consulting business in response to rapidly growing demand from Japanese companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. We have brought on experienced professionals in market research, company establishment, M&A, joint ventures, and technical alliances, building a support system staffed by people with real business experience.
